International, innovative, visionary and disruptive - CEO and founder of BGA - Brave Generation Academy
Timothy Alexander Vieira, vulgo #timvieira, was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, on July 18, 1975, to a Portuguese family who had emigrated there. Attended the Business Management/Administration course at the University of South Africa (UNISA). Later, participated in the Executive Program at Chicago BOOTH School in London...
In 1993, at the age of 18, he began his career as an entrepreneur by setting up a brewery in South Africa.
In 2001, he moved to Angola, where he co-founded Special Edition Holding, a media group that also operates in Mozambique and Ghana.
His participation as an investor on the television program “Shark Tank” Portugal in 2015 allowed him to meet incredible Portuguese entrepreneurs and led him to found the BGA - “Brave Generation” Group and the “BeBrave” Association—a non-profit organization aimed at supporting all those who not only had an innovative business idea but also the strength and resilience necessary to fight for that dream. BGA it is present in more than 9 countries and currently has more than 61 hubs.
In 2016, he devoted himself to another passion and co-founded Caracol Studios, a television and film production company that financed the first works and disruptive projects of young directors and screenwriters and won several awards at film festivals around the world.
In response to the 2020 pandemic crisis, it launched, with the support of “BeBrave,” the “Escolhe Portugal” platform, with the aim of facilitating interaction between companies and consumers.
He is currently the CEO and founder of Brave Generation Academy, an institution that offers an innovative teaching method, and is a member of the Advisory Board of Nova School of Business & Economics.
In addition, he maintains investments in sectors such as agriculture, information technology, human resources, and culture.
In 2023, he announced his candidacy for the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic, but on August 19, 2025, he withdrew his candidacy.
