Some important recommendations:

Studying in São Tomé is a magnificent, enriching life experience, close to nature (Principe Island is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve), with unique fauna and flora in the world. The people of São Tomé are peaceful and there is almost no crime, the cuisine is very rich in fish, fruits, vegetables and some meat, natural juices... a mixture of African and Mediterranean cuisine). There is STP cocoa, considered the best in the world (Claudio Corallo), coffee, teas, palm oil, coconut, tropical flowers and fruits of any kind, pepper and vanilla...The beaches on the 2 islands are fabulous and the weather is warm almost all year round.

In STP you can practice sports such as football, volleyball, handball, surfing, diving, sea trips, visit the historic ancient colonial plantations known as Roças, visit Pico-Cão, the Park Obô, hike in the forest with specialized guides... STP is an unforgettable trip and an experience for life.

You will learn to live the simplicity of life and the true spirit known as "Leve-Leve".

We advise light, heat-resistant clothing and the use of repellents and bring a first-aid kit and some basic medicines, such as Paracetamol, for the stomach, etc.). Do not consume spring or tap water, drink mineral water - or boil water and filter.

The health system in STP is still considered very weak and with scarce resources, therefore, it must be prevented. However, there are pharmacies, a Public Hospital and private clinics, namely a dentist, the Red Cross, Santa Casa da Misericórdia(PT)... Inquire at tourist agencies.

P.S.: In case of a more serious problem, we advise you to travel immediately to your country or the closest country with better health resources, such as Gabon, South Africa, Portugal, Spain or another, and immediately contact your embassy or diplomatic representation in São Tomé.

Business:

you can easily open a company or Startup in São Tomé at Guiché Único and there is the REINA business incubator. You can find out more about procedures at these specialized offices and also apply for your Tax Social Security Card at the District Chamber. Publics services can be sometimes are a little slow but they are operational. STP is a country open to foreign investment.

The country has enormous potential for growth and there is still practically everything to be done. It constitutes a huge business opportunity.

We can consider that STP is in the center of the world, on the equator, located in the Gulf of Guinea and has no war records.
